DEBUT ALBUM! out now…
The Linfield Collaborative Music Ensemble (LCME), under the direction of Florian Conzetti, releases its debut album, Patterns of Wildness. Featuring seven world premiere recordings by four composers who have all taught or studied at Linfield University:
William Campbell
Andrea Reinkemeyer
Zach Gulaboff Davis
Élana Gatien
Patterns lock into place everywhere on the record, drawn from living or weather-made phenomena that push back against formal organization, reflecting the incredible juxtaposition of wildness and cultivation in the verdant Willamette Valley where Linfield University fosters its artists.
Concert and release party!
Saturday, October 3rd, 7:30 pm - BodyVox, Portland
The concert features music from the album by Campbell, Andrea Reinkemeyer, and Élana Gatien, including the world premiere of Reinkemeyer's Rainshadow, with an opening work by former Linfield composition faculty member Greg Steinke.
Tickets includes a physical copy of Patterns of Wildness and a catered reception with the musicians following the concert.
delivering profound musical experiences through a uniquely integrated approach and highly expressive style
“Mallets flying over drum skins, wood and metal, he pinned us to our seats while alerting us to the relationship between repetition and larger structure… If you see Conzetti’s name on a concert bill, go hear him…
he is a wonder.”
